Common Core Standard based McGraw Hill curriculum for Language Arts and Social Studies is used to develop foundational skills that prepare students for later learning in all content areas. The students develop phonological awareness so they can decode words and analyze what they are reading using a program called Raz Kids. Students begin to develop writing skills by using a combination of drawing, dictation, and handwriting to express opinions, relate an event, or provide information.

By fostering student’s innate curiosity, their critical thinking is elevated by facilitating hands-on investigation, their understanding is deepened and by encouraging creative problem-solving, they inspire innovation.
Houghton Mifflin Math Expressions curriculum helps children make sense of math by exploring, discussing, and demonstrating their understanding of key concepts. Students learn how to look deeper and choose their own path to the answers—skills that will take them far beyond the math classroom.
